Joint garbage collection on the beach

Conservation with the children of Sylt 

 

The Save Nature Group organized a project week on nature conservation in Sylt at the elementary school in Wenningstedt.

A team of 9 volunteers taught the entire school of 105 children.

The program included 6 different themed groups and a large garbage collection on the beach.

The themes of the project week were: animal and environmental protection, recycling, regionalism, forest ecosystems, biodynamic agriculture and the World Natural Heritage Wadden Sea in all its diversity.

The children learned to take responsibility for dealing with nature.

At the same time, solutions were developed together in order to live more sustainably.
